Where in the World Are Our Subscribers?

Globe

One great aspect of Internet technology is that we’re able to log the Internet Protocol addresses of those who download the Understanding the Scriptures podcast and then perform a geolocation lookup on those same IP addresses. Some of you are probably asking by now, “What on earth does that mean?” Translation: We know where you live!

As Jesus and Gabriel put it: Be not afraid. We’re only able to really track down city, state, and country. Below is a list of some of the locations where our podcast subscribers live… Maybe you’ll even see yourself:

Dhaka, Bangladesh
Brussels, Belgium
Toronto, Canada
Los Angeles, California
Chicago, Illinois
Northern England (What a great place to live..)
Kabel, Germany (Guten Tag!)
Fremont, California

In Luke 12:49, Jesus said, “I came to cast fire upon the earth; and would that it were already kindled!” It seems that CatholicBoard is indeed a contributing factor to the rise of global warming.

I just heard about your podcast this afternoon! (I think it was mentioned on Mark Shea’s blog.)

My husband is currently taking this course at a local parish, but I couldn’t attend with him. Now, thanks to your podcast of Understanding the Scriptures, I can take the same class via my iPod! I’m so excited!

Thanks for offering it online! God bless!

I was also directed here by Mark Shea’s blog.

So now you can add Dhaka, Bangladesh to the destinations of your podcast.

I’ve listened to the first 2 chapters, and I’m impressed with the quality of the scholarship. I’ll be telling my friends to come here.

After being blessed with the opportunity to hear Scott Hahn speak, I asked Scott to recommend a book to share with my teen-aged son. Scott recommended Understanding The Scriptures. I purchased it that evening. Participating in Jeff Cavin’s Bible Timeline course, I found the book my son and I were sharing (Understanding The Scriptures) to be an excellent companion book for my course work. Most rewarding was the QUALITY time shared with my son, Joe. This was such a great gift from God, Joe and I, together growing in God’s word. As a thankful advocate of this experience, I recommend this Podcast to be shared, as a family, if possible. Thank you for another opportunity to share this powerful experience.
